Award winning visual Artist, filmmaker and screenwriter, Arnold Pander works in a wide range of narrative mediums and media production, most notably his work in comics with his brother,Jacob as one half of the Pander brothers, and for his work in film as a writer, producer and director.
Arnold is an Eisner award Nominated artist for the Dark Horse Comics series "Grendel: Devil’s Legacy". Pander has written and/or illustrated titles like “Dissident x” and Exquisite Corpse"(Dark Horse Comics), "Secret Broadcast" (Oni Press), and "Tasty Bullet"(Image Comics) as well as franchise titles “Batman: City of Light"(DC Comics) “Nightmask” (Marvel Comics), the critically acclaimed graphic novel “GirlFIEND” and the follow up hardbound OGN, “GirlFIEND in Paris” , both from Dark Horse Comics. Arnold co-wrote and produced the feature film “Altered Ego” which was picked up for national V.O.D. by Comcast/ Time Warner and by E1 for domestic distribution. Arnold also co-wrote & directed the short film “Subtext” that premiered at the prestigious Palm Shorts International Film Fest in 2014, Arnold has directed commercial spots for adidas Originals, Panasonic and LG. Arnold co-wrote the Dee Lite Music video “Runaway” and provided production design for Jon Mayer’s “Who Did You Think I Was?” music video, both directed by Gus Van Sant. Arnold directed the Music Video “Forever” for Dine Alone Records recording artists, The Dandy Warhols.
Arnold’s storyboards and key frames for movies, television, advertising, gaming, animation, UX, online and brand content has given Pander a reputation as a trusted and reliable previsualist. Pander has been tapped by global advertising agencies; Weiden+Kennedy, Ogilvy, AKQA and Mana Media among others for major brand campaigns including, Nike, Target, Samsung, Google, Coca Cola, ESPN and X-Box among others. and has provided storyboards for movies like “My Own Private Idaho”, “Maverick” and “Spun” among others.
While under the management of L.A. based Gotham Group, Arnold developed creative decks, concept art, animatics, and trailers shopping his original scripts and Comics I.P. to major studios in Hollywood,which have led to movie project development with Anonymous Content and Legendary Pictures among others.
Arnold’s editorial art has been published in Details and Paper Magazine and appeared as on-camera artist for ‘America’s Next Top Model’. Pander’s paintings have exhibited in Amsterdam, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco , and Portland, Oregon. His paintings will appear on a hit HBO show in 2026 , TBA.
