Jack Zero: Crackerjack Shot
Late 1800’s showman sharpshooter, Jack Zero, becomes a swashbuckling hero of the dime-store novels. The misunderstood marksman travels with legends such as Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, to name a few, and his growing reputation only makes it harder for Jack to live in peace. When a woman named Rose enters his life, Jack thinks he’s found true love, but she only wants his pulp fiction persona to save her small town from the marauders who have eyes on her land. Jack resists the pressure to save the day but when his moral code is put to the test, he must embrace his infamous alter ego from the fictional pulp adventures and find the true hero within himself.
From the mind of Co authors, Joel Blumsack and Arnold Pander and illustrated by Arnold, This wild west tale deconstructs the dual identity of Jack Zero who becomes a victim of his pulp fiction persona. Jack Zero was originally published in Dark Horse Presents as a series of short episodeic chapters. Check out a sampling of pages from Jack Zero: Crackejack shot!
